Alec Joe Fairweather

Fort Worth, Texas - Alec Joe Fairweather, 94, passed away March 27, 2024.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2024 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.  Interment: Rose Hill Cemetery, Cleburne, Texas.

Alec Joe Fairweather was born December 29, 1929 in Jackson, Mississippi, the son of Edwin Ewan and Charlotte Yvonne LeBerre Fairweather.  He was a 1948 graduate of Paschal High School  and was drafted into the USArmy in 1950.  He served 17 months in the 47th O.L.A.M. USArmy in Korea (1951-52) performing aircraft maintenance on light aircraft and helicopters.  After his discharge in 1952, he returned to school and graduated from the University of Houston in January 1958 with a Bachelor of Applied Science.  He worked for General Dynamics Fort Worth Division for 36 years in work related to airborne electronics equipment before retiring on October 31, 1993.

Alec married Naoma Jean Hudson in February 1953.  She passed away in June 2018 at the age of 88, after 65 years of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Fairweather Darby and Suzanne Fairweather Crow

He is survived by his son, Philip Joe Fairweather and wife, Kaye, of Arlington and extended family and friends.
