Alice Freida Rogers

Freida Rogers, 87, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 11, 2024.

Service: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2024 at First Presbyterian Church, 1000 Penn St, Fort Worth, TX 76102.

Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials may be given to the Karl Travis Community Center, 2400 Cypress Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76102.

Freida was born on January 24, 1937 in Oklahoma City, OK to Alice and Fred Wolf. She was a graduate of Shawnee High School, Oklahoma State University and received her Master of Divinity from McCormick Seminary in Chicago, IL where she met her husband Dick. They both graduated in 1963 and married that same year.

Freida loved cooking, gardening, sewing and creative writing. She wrote several children’s stories.  Freida was Dick's greatest coach in life and in his ministry.

Freida was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Margie Martin and her son-in-law, Dave Marcum.

Survivors: Husband of 61 years, Dick Rogers; daughter, Amy Marcum and her husband Derrick Alvis; grandchildren, Lily Marcum, Casey Alvis and Lauren Alvis; and her sister, Pat Hodges.
