Brooke Allison Benton

Fort Worth - Brooke Allison Buttler Benton, 42, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, at home after a long battle with illness.

Memorial Service: 5 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76114.

Brooke was born October 28, 1980 in Webster, Texas to Kenneth E. Buttler and Elizabeth Cruz Cutter.  She graduated in May 1999 from Happy Hill Academy and attended Weatherford College where she obtained her certification as a Medication Aide and Certified Nurse Aide.

Brooke is survived by her husband, Dwayne Benton; children, Justin Lee, Tylor Keith and Brianna Keith; sisters, Shelley Buttler Finfrock and Lauren Cutter Harris; mother, Elizabeth Cutter and step-father, Stephen Cutter; grandmother, Vivien M. Cruz; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brooke was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth E. Buttler and her grandfather, Colonel H. G. Cruz, USAF (ret.)

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or CASA of Tarrant County.
