Cheryl Thornton Surber

Cheryl Thornton Surber, 67, a native and lifelong resident of Fort Worth, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023 after a brief illness.

Visitation: 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Southcliff Baptist Church.

Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Southcliff Baptist Church.

Private Entombment

Cheryl was born in Fort Worth to Lloyd and Ann Thornton.  A graduate of Fort Worth Country Day School, she earned two bachelor degrees in Advertising and another in Radio/TV/Film, and an MBA all from TCU.  She was a devoted TCU fan and loved to work in politics.  Throughout her career she worked at Color Print, General Dynamics, TCU, Radio Shack, and Stream Energy.

She was a long time member of Southcliff Baptist Church.  Cheryl was passionate in everything she approached and was big hearted.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie, her parents, and her sister, Pat Nail.

Cheryl is survived by her husband, Charles; daughter, Anna Marie; brother, Robert Thornton and wife, Margie; brother-in -law, Roland Nail; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
