Consuelo Hernandez Sosa

Consuelo “Connie” Hernandez Sosa, 95, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Connie was born Nov. 3, 1926, in Dallas, the fourth of five children, to Joaquin and Refugio Hernandez. She graduated from Crozier Technical High School. She married Manuel A. Sosa on Nov. 20, 1948, moved to Fort Worth and they raised two sons. They were married for 61 years and he was the love of her life. Members for over 25 years, Connie enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband at The Petroleum Club of Fort Worth. She loved spending time with family, and for years enjoyed volunteer work – St. Mary of the Assumption, St. Joseph Hospital, Cook Children’s and DFW Airport. After her boys were older, she worked for Champlin Petroleum until retirement. Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel. She is survived by her sister, Carmen Rios of Fort Worth; sons, Victor Sosa and wife, Gloria, of Dallas and Michael Sosa and wife, Holly, of Fort Worth; as well as 7 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
