Jimmie Terrel Mooney

November 30, 1944 — June 6, 2025

Jimmie Mooney (JT) was born on February 23, 1945, to James Burlon Mooney and Virginia Mae Stanley in Fort Worth, Texas. He peacefully passed away in his sleep June 6, 2025

JT loved to fish and enjoyed watching fishing shows every opportunity he had. Two of JT’s favorite places to eat were Whataburger and Waffle House.   He was a painter by profession and took pride in his work. He painted everything from Schools to large Professional Buildings. JT retired from Ray Noteboom Paint Company in 2020. He was an all around handyman and loved to build all kinds of things from benches to patios.    Something everyone knew about JT  is that he loved those cowboys and if it wasn't fishing on the TV it was a western.

JT was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Mooney, sister, Pat, as well as his Parents, James and Virginia Mooney.

He is survived by his sons, Terrel Mooney, Michael and wife, Linda Mooney, and Curtis and wife, Gretchen Mooney; as well as his daughter, Erica; and brother, Roger Mooney.  He is also survived by his step children, Brandy and husband, Dewayne Lewis, David and Denise Lutjens, and Brandon King. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Harley and Curtis Mooney Junior, Jasmine, Rebecca, Rhianna, and Tatyana  Mooney,  and his step grandchildren, Katie, Kelsey, and Kristian Lewis, Destinee Lutjens, and Mackenzie King.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76114.
