Maria De Refugio Neaves Baez, 89, passed away on December 4, 2024. Born in Muzquiz, Coahuila, Mexico, Maria was a dedicated housewife, a loving caregiver to her grandchildren, and a cherished aunt, sister, great-grandmother, and friend. Known for her devotion to her Catholic faith, she found great purpose in praying for and supporting those around her.
Maria was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pedro Neaves Meza, as well as several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Pedro Neaves, and his wife Christina; her daughter, Diana Neaves Pulido, and her husband Gustavo; and her siblings Rebecca, Fidel, Oscar, Rolando, and Mayela Baez.
Maria was the proud grandmother of Pedro Neaves and his wife Shannon, Carlos Neaves, Alejandro Neaves, Gustavo A. Pulido and his wife Maria Hilda, Miguel A. Pulido and his wife D’Nay, and David Pulido. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, with another expected to join the family next year. Maria’s memory will be cherished by her many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Maria’s life was a testament to love, faith, and service, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
