Marian Biggs Johnson

November 30, 1932 — January 26, 2023

Marian Biggs Johnson, 89, passed away surrounded by her family on Thursday, January 26, 2023 at her home. Marian was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved life and was a friend and confidante to all that knew her.

Born Ruby Marian Dunn on March 22, 1933 in Merkel, Texas . S he was the daughter of Mary Alice (Johnson) and Elbert Eugene Dunn. She graduated from North Side High School . Marian was a fun-loving person that never met a stranger and was passionate about her faith, family and friends.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Saginaw where she helped found the Love Knitters Club – a group that knitted caps and blankets for the homeless and for babies at John Peter S mith Hospital. Her hobbies included painting, knitting, square dancing and socializing with her friends.  She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elbert E. Dunn and Mary Alice Dunn Mahan, brother, Morris Dunn, and her husbands, Jack Biggs in 1985 and Lloyd Johnson in 2016 and her great granddaughter, Kyler Stone .

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Marilyn (Danny) Tolbert, Glenna (Ricky) Stone, Steven (Stacy) Biggs, Diann (Dale) Kinson, and Lynette (Royce) Rogers; grandchildren, Kevin Stone, Jennifer Stone, Courtney (Jackson) Heigel , Lauren Biggs, Sydney Biggs, Summer Rogers, Blake Rogers and Kendall Rogers; great grandchildren, Kieran Stone, Kenzie Stone and Kolbie Stone, brothers, Jerry (Sue) Dunn, Glenn (Karen) Dunn; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Love Knitters Club at First Baptist Church of Saginaw or the Down Syndrome Partnership of North Texas.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Legacy Oaks of Azle and to Solaris Hospice for their dedication and love for our mother over the past months.  We are forever grateful.

Visitation : 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole.

Funeral : 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Saginaw.  Interment at Greenwood Memorial Park.
