Marsha Faye Boyd, age 78, was born in Washington, Indiana to parents Carl and Mona Boyd. After losing her father at age 8, she and her siblings were raised and loved by her step-father, Arthur Snyder. She lived most of her life in Texas but always kept in touch with her Indiana family. She passed peacefully in her sleep on May 31 st , 2025.
Marsha lived the life she wanted-caring for others and being surrounded by family and friends. Whether you knew her as Mom, Mamaw, Miss Marsha, Marshmallow, Cactus Callie or Sister 1311, you knew she was someone special. She was always there to make you laugh and smile, give you a hug and whether it was Santa Cookies, Indiana chili or “Marsharitas” make memories.
She always had the support and lover of her Indiana family with all the Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She continued that tradition with a large family of her own. She always loved telling everyone how many grand and great-grandchildren she had! She was also surrounded by her work family. As a home health LVN, she welcomed her “babies” and their families into her own.
She was fortunate to find a whole new family later in life with her “Sisters”. She loved traveling with her vintage trailer and living the life of “No men, No pets, No kids”. With this family, she truly lived the motto of “we have more fun than anyone”. Always there with her big smile and a hug for anyone who needed it.
If you knew her, you knew she never wanted things to be about her and didn’t seek out attention and this is how she wanted it to be. She requested no memorial services and asks that everyone cherishes the time spent, memories made and continue to make more with the family remaining.
