Marty Jenson

Martin “Marty” Dale Jenson, aged 72, died at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest, Fort Worth on July 01, 2024 from complications attributed to heart disease.

Born on June 07, 1952 in Aurora Colorado, Marty was the eldest of four sons born to Skip and Sophie Jenson. He was a 1970 graduate of Western Hills High School in Fort Worth and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business degree in 1974 from North Texas State University (now the University of North Texas) in Denton, Texas.

After receiving his degree and working for a decade in the construction industry with firms such as Brown and Root Engineering/Construction on the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant, and Mark A. Jenson Construction, Marty began working at Lockheed Martin (then General Dynamics) in 1985, retiring as a Senior Design Engineer in 2016. During his over 30 Years at Lockheed, he contributed his expertise to such notable aerospace design projects as the General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon and the Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor.

Marty is survived by his former wife, Ellen; their son Jason, Jason’s wife Andrea, and their daughter. He is also survived by a brother, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by parents Sidney Wendell (“Skip”) and Sophronia Patricia (“Sophie”) Jenson, as well as brothers; Matthew Wade and Mark Allen Jenson.

Memorial Service: 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., Fort Worth, TX 76114.   A reception with light lunch will follow directly after the service at the funeral home.
