Nancy Jo Hudson

Nancy Jo Hudson passed away in her home on January 13, 2024 in Willow Park, Texas. Born in Denton, TX in 1953, Nancy was a devoted wife and mother who was loved by many throughout her life. She attended UNT where she met her husband, Jerry, through the university’s ROTC program. She eventually graduated from Texas Tech University in 1982 with a major in Spanish & a minor in English. She married Jerry Hudson on August 3, 1974. Their adventures together spanned life on both sides of the United States as well as overseas and gifted them with four sons. She had a 20-year career as a bilingual educator, eventually retiring from Fort Worth ISD. She enjoyed snow skiing, traveling, music, & gardening. Her lifelong love of music included playing piano and classical Spanish guitar, and was shared by her sons through school band and various other personal and professional musical projects.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Noel and Wanda Yardley.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerry; twin sister, Carol Williamson; brothers, Craig Yardley, Burke McKay & Greg McKay; sons, BJ, Zack, Ryan, & Matt; granddaughter, Alyssa; as well as numerous cousins, nieces & nephews.

Visitation: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan 21 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home 4350 River Oaks Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76114

Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan 22 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funer Home, 4350 River Oaks Blvd.

Interment: Cooper Creek Cemetery 4568 Fishtrap Rd., Denton, TX 76208.
