Richard Jay Borinstein

Richard Jay Borinstein passed on June 17, 2024 after a long neurological illness. He was born on January 16, 1944 and grew up in Chicago, IL. He worked his way through college, graduating from Loyola University. His tenacious work ethic earned him his first job out of college as a copywriter for Montgomery Ward in 1966, where he worked for twenty years, rising to the rank of Merchandise Manager. He then moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1986 working in the retail sector until he was recruited to Radio Shack, where he served as a Senior Vice President, retiring in 2005.

Rick loved traveling, food and drink, and sports, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife Tish, who were married 52 years, his children Brigitte, Christy, and Scott, and his grandchildren Becca, Theodore, Camille, Penelope, and Elise.

As per his wishes, there will be no public service. If you wish to acknowledge his life, donations can be made to the Multiple Systems Atrophy Clinic, which is part of the Peter O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute at the University of Texas at Southwestern Medical Center (link here ).
