Richard William Lockwood, 91, died August 10, 2022.
Visitation: 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home with a Rosary at 4:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 22, 2022 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 1201 S. Cherry Lane, Fort Worth, Texas 76108.
Interment: 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 22, 2022 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas.
Memorials: Should friends desire, memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to Catholic Charities or a charity of choice.
Richard was born on February 12, 1931, in Kearny, NJ, to Henry and Helen Lockwood. He retired from the United States Air Force as a TSGT in 1972. After he retired, he attended Texas Christian University where he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration. He eventually retired again and continued to volunteer for Boy Scouts of America and Girl Scouts. He was active member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Richard lived a full life, often enjoying his coin collection, reading, and genealogy research.
Richard is survived by his wife, Barbara Fullard Lockwood, of 65 years; daughters, Anita Wells and Teresa Butler (Thomas); grandchildren, Susan Ressler (Randie), Laura Butler (Jeremy), Shoshanah Newell (Ryan), Dakota Wells; great-grandchildren, August Ressler, Shelby Butler, Joseph Parker, Logan Newell, Patsy Newell.
