Wynell Yvonne Hoodenpyle Vaughn lost her battle with cancer on April 28, 2023, at the age of 82.
Memorial: 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 8, 2023 at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Chapel, 4350 River Oaks Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas 76114.
Wynell was born on January 20, 1941, to mother, Flossie Mae Hoodenpyle and father, George Cleveland. She was married to Larry T. Vaughn for 18 years. She received her GED and attended accounting classes for her position at Alcon Laboratories, where she worked for 28 years. Before that, she worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an operator where she moved telephone wires from place to place for people to communicate.
Wynell was a feisty, independent woman who was memorable to everyone she met. I mean literally no one who met her forgot her. She was a fun spirited person who loved reading, playing solitaire, and doing puzzles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Flossie Mae Hoodenpyle and George Cleveland; and sister, Elva Lee Harrington and husband Cliff.
Survivors: Children, Jesse Vaughn and wife Cindy, Donna Utley, and Paul Vaughn and wife Jan; twin sister, Glynell Trimble; grandchildren, Jesse Vaughn Jr., Andrea Mccauley and husband Jason, Shawna Vaughn, Jared Poush, Cole Utley and wife Melissa, Callie Wild and husband Steven, Weston Utley, Aiden Utley, Averi Utley, Lindsey Hensley, Jamie Stevenson and husband Blake; 11 great grandchildren, Jace Utley, Logan Utley, Raylie Wild, Cayson Wild, Kylee Podhajsky, Cody Mccauley, Ethan Mccauley, Falon Martinez, Anaya Hensley, Jayden Hensley, Tegan Stevenson, Kyle Minton, Sariah Vaughn, and Eliana Poush; and various nieces and nephews.
